Frequently asked questions
How much does piano tuning cost in Orange County?
Most tunings run $150–$220. A piano that has gone years without service may need a pitch raise first — a rough pass before the fine tuning — which adds to the visit. You get the full number over the phone before we book, so there’s no guesswork.
How often should a piano be tuned?
Twice a year is the manufacturers’ recommendation, and near the coast it holds up. From the beach cities inland, the marine layer swings indoor humidity every day and pianos drift faster for it. Once a year is the floor for any piano that actually gets played.
Do you come to my house? Where in Orange County do you go?
Every tuning is at your home, studio or church — we come to you. We’re based in Huntington Beach and cover the entire county plus Long Beach with no travel fees: from the coast through Anaheim, Irvine, Fullerton, Santa Ana, Orange, Tustin, Mission Viejo and everywhere in between.
My piano hasn’t been played in years. Can it still be brought back?
Almost always. Most pianos that have sat come back to life with a pitch raise and a follow-up tuning or two. We check the pinblock, strings and action first so you know what the instrument needs before any work begins.
Do you tune digital or player pianos?
Digital pianos never need tuning. Acoustic player pianos — Disklavier, PianoDisc and older pneumatic players — do, and we service them exactly like any other acoustic piano.
